Our Story

Early on, we became aware of the importance of the need for spiritual and practical integration of faith. This led us to become involved in grassroots initiatives in the UK, creating safe communities for people in urban poverty.
After this, we were invited to embark on a transformative experience in India. This resulted in us working alongside others helping to build learning and development communities for young people from mainly rural contexts who had been impacted by environmental and economic hardship.

Later we moved to a large urban city in India, and for several years worked alongside a team focused on urban transformation. Our primary focus was on child care; women, children and communities affected and infected by HIV and in creating structures that provided safe places, support, care, and compassion. Along with others, we strived to create a nurturing environment for national and international people that fostered hope, resilience, and empowerment, ensuring that those facing adversity could embrace a future full of possibilities.
On our return to the United Kingdom, we became catalysts in founding a charity aimed at empowering those with no voice in society and in creating an educational music program for young people in an urban deprived area of the town. Through these and other initiatives, we worked alongside individuals and communities, offering support to turn aspirations into reality.

Communities affected by gang violence on the USA/Mexico border were also an area where we were invited to step into and assist people in the US and in Mexico to work together to overcome hardship. Again, we witnessed the unique challenges economically poor and deprived communities face. We partnered with a US and Mexican organisation, churches, local faith communities and various individuals to bring about positive spiritual and physical change. At the beginning of this period we became part of what is now the Skylark Network and during our time in North America we were also part of the leadership of a faith community that strove to live of faith and trust in Jesus in a very different way to the mainstream understanding and birth a new model.
Human trafficking is also an issue that expresses the evil of humanity and that profoundly saddens us, and impacts our hearts. After our years supporting communities in Mexico, we were invited to relocate to California and work alongside people across the USA, and further afield, to create safe communities for people vulnerable to trafficking or who were survivors of modern day slavery. Theses communities sought to provide the support and resources needed to rebuild integrated and whole lives. Our commitment to advocating for the rights of the marginalised and making a world free from exploitation fueled our determination. This time was also a period of expanding our knowledge base through full time post graduate studies.

Another area that we are passionate about is the concept of grassroots development within faith communities in the United Kingdom. We recognise the immense impact faith has had on our society and cultural development and continues to have on individuals and communities today. To this end, over the last several years, we have worked primarily with a small faith community in South Oxfordshire and have been actively engaged in developing and supporting initiatives aimed at helping people discover and practically develop the God-given hopes and dreams in their hearts. Plus, to empower people to be a ‘church’ in its full context and enable participants of the faith community to live out the reality of Jesus’ love within the places they live and be at the forefront of creating and driving positive, integrated grassroots change.

Due to the experience we have developed, our path has also connected us to people and communities across the UK who have similar hearts. By fostering collaboration, understanding, and compassion, sharing stories and supporting faith communities who seek to work with others and be led by the Father, Son & Holy Spirit, we believe people can become catalysts for social and spiritual transformation and collective well-being.
Whether providing resources, guidance, coaching or simply lending a helping hand. Over time, we have been constantly encouraged to see that the practical and supernatural power of collective action and collaboration with people and God has created lasting holistic transformation.
Together, we can make a difference.
