RE-CONN-TORE

Renew • Connect • Restore

Creating Space for Transformation, Hope and New Possibilities

For nearly 40 years, we have lived, partnered and worked alongside individuals, charities, churches, social activists and grassroots communities across India, the United Kingdom, the United States and Mexico.

Our journey has been shaped by following the way of Jesus, a journey that is rooted in compassion, justice, contemplation, inclusivity and human dignity — engaging with people and communities impacted by poverty, HIV, drug violence, exploitation, trauma and human trafficking.

Our aim is to offer relational coaching, reflective leadership support, grassroot community development training, teaching and spiritual accompaniment for individuals and organisations navigating change, transition and new beginnings.

Whether working with people with no religious faith background at all or people with deep spiritual faith, our approach remains grounded in listening, relationship, wisdom and hope.

The Meaning Behind Re-Conn-Tore

Creating space for healing, fresh vision, resilience and transformation.

Helping people reconnect with themselves, others, faith, community, purpose and possibility.

Restore

Supporting individuals and organisations as they rebuild, reimagine and move forward.

The name of this platform sounds similar to the English word recontour — a term used within both the construction and healthcare professions, fields in which we had previously worked.

In construction, recontouring involves reshaping land and environments to create a platform on which strong foundations and sustainable structures can be built.

In healthcare, re-contouring involves restoration, renewal and helping create healthier outcomes.

These ideas reflect the heart of Re-Conn-Tore: partnering with people, communities and organisations as they seek to reshape, rebuild and rediscover a hopeful way forward.

This has included work alongside:

  • People trapped in poverty
  • Individuals and families impacted by HIV
  • Survivors of human trafficking
  • Vulnerable women and children
  • Community activists and local leaders
  • Christian ministries and humanitarian organisations

We believe sustainable integrated change grows through dignity, partnership, compassion and locally rooted solutions.

To support this, we offer several areas for partnership.

Current Focus

Currently our work centres around:

  • Supporting individuals through transition and challenge
  • Assisting organisations navigating change and growth
  • Encouraging healthy leadership and sustainable vision
  • Helping churches and charities develop community initiatives
  • Providing reflective spaces for discernment and renewal
  • Building healthier teams, boards and partnerships

Our Approach

We believe meaningful support is:

  • Relational rather than transactional
  • Reflective rather than reactive
  • Compassionate rather than prescriptive
  • Inclusive and welcoming
  • Grounded in lived experience
  • Open to mystery, creativity and transformation

Together we continue to create spaces where people can pause, reflect, reconnect and move forward with greater clarity and hope.

Sometimes all we simply need is:

  • A trusted conversation
  • Space to think
  • Encouragement through uncertainty
  • A fresh perspective
  • Support in discerning the next step
  • Permission to begin again

Re-Conn-Tore exists to help create these spaces and partner with the ideas that may develop.

PAST & PRESENT CONNECTIONS

What People Say

It must be close to 20 years Emm and I have been connected with Kevin and Linsey Potter and we can honestly say they are some of the best people we know.

Their enthusiasm and desire to serve and help others is incredible to watch, whether it’s engaging with small children to leading large groups or inspiring people with community engagement ideas they have a beautiful way of making people feel safe, heard and loved.

For us they are the real deal and you will be enriched, blessed and inspired by connecting with them.

Founders & Leaders of BIG LOVE

‘Having started out on a church planting leadership journey over the last few years, we have hugely benefitted from the encouragement and support of Kevin and Linsey.

They have gone out of their way to check-in with us, to come and visit our context and to speak into what we are doing. They have such a wealth of experience and wisdom and yet always make us feel that what we are doing is worth their time and support.

We have benefited from that wisdom immensely, as well as their willingness to support us to take the risky Kingdom decisions. They are so keen to cheer on and encourage us and others and we so appreciate this as we try to learn along the way and develop our community and our leadership.’

Beacon Community

Thank you for being safe spaces for so many people!

Kevin and Linsey offered practical advice and helped us feel supported, not just heard – but understood through proactive questioning and coaching. They have a wealth of experience which we could tap into and their warmth and encouragement was fantastic. Grace

“Having worked alongside Kevin and Linsey on three continents, I have witnessed the impact of what they have done on many many people.  They always leave those they engage with more equipped, inspired and encouraged.  Their years of experience in different cultural contexts has given them a unique perspective that will help any individual or organisation that chooses to engage their services.”

Andy Matheson

“For over 18 years I have watched Linsey and Kevin encourage, challenge, nurture, and inspire countless leaders—including me–to lean into their passion for community development, God-inspired dreams, and ways to embody faith, hope, and love in a fractured world. The Refuge community has benefited so much from their love and inspiration over many years. They are the real deal bringing practical wisdom, diverse experience, and deep hope to offer every individual, group, and community they work with!”

Kathy Escobar

‘Life is for the living, and making the most of what God asks you to do is challenging and fulfilling. Sometimes, we need the help, support and guidance of others who have journeyed that way before us.. Kev & Linsey are both Directors on our board at ‘The Crosskeys – a multi-faceted Christian community in the heart of Mid Wales’. Their abundant experience and insights into life, business and ministry are invaluable. Connecting with them will be transformational.
